Ely Gin with Dark Chocolate

The classic chocolate orange, but with a big kick. One of our favourites: the classic chocolate orange, but with a serious kick.
If possible, chill the ingredients before mixing.
1 measure Ely Gin Dark Chocolate
1 measure Triple Sec (such as Bols)
1/4 measure single cream
Serve in a wine or martini glass, garnished with a slice of orange or orange zest.
Sweetness guide: medium sweet, but this depends somewhat on the choice of Triple Sec.
100_0839 If you like marzipan or almonds, this could be the one for you.
2 measures Ely Gin Dark Chocolate
1 measure Amaretto (such as Disaronno)
1 measure strong coffee (not espresso, but strong flavour)
1/2 measure single cream (optional)
If cream is used, serve sprinkled with a little chocolate powder.
This cocktail does not need to be served cold. In fact, making it with hot-ish coffee makes a great winter-warmer (especially when the cream is in there as well).
Sweetness guide: sweeter.

Ely Gin with Raspberry

100_0962 As well as making a great gin and tonic, Ely Gin Raspberry works very well mixed with white wine, Prosecco or Champagne. Here’s our suggestion:
1 measure Ely Gin Raspberry
1 measure Sparkling White Wine
3 leaves fresh basil (shredded or finely chopped)
Take the chopped basil and shake with or stir into the raspberry gin. Pour into a martini or wine glass, then top up with the sparkling white wine.
Garnish with fresh raspberries and (optional) a little more fresh basil.
Sweetness guide: the sweetness depends entirely upon the choice of white wine.

Ely Gin with Blackberry

100_0950 Just as with Ely Gin Raspberry, Ely Gin Blackberry makes a great gin and tonic and also works very well mixed with white wine, Prosecco or Champagne. However, when we think blackberries, we always think of Autumn. Our suggestion this time makes a refreshing long drink to enjoy in front of the fire.
1 measure Ely Gin Blackberry
1 measure cloudy apple juice
Sparkling water (optional)
Fresh sage or thyme to garnish (optional)
Put some ice into a long or heavy-bottomed glass, the pour in the Ely Gin Blackberry and the apple juice. Dilute to taste with the sparkling water, then add freshly chopped sage or thyme (and maybe some blackberries too, if they are in season).
Sweetness guide: drier
